The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and its partners have laid wreaths in memory of persons who made contributions to Pan-Africanism and development of Africa under the theme “Unity and Resilience;Building stronger communities for brighter future”
Speaking at the Emancipation Wreath-Laying Ceremony at W.E.B Du Bois Centre at Accra on Thursday July 25, Ghana Tourism Authority Board Chairman, Seth Adjei Baah highlighted the impact the late William Edward B. Du Bois an African-American Historian and Pan-Africanist had in Ghana
He noted that as a global family the strength lies is unity and togetherness, looking at the impact the forefathers had in the fight for freedom, equality and justice. He therefore urged all diaspora to unite the continue the good works the forefathers and ancestors started.
He urged individuals to do away with stigmatizatiion and apathy and unite for the success of Ghana
