Ghana’s President- Elect, John Dramani Mahama has announced his commitment to expanding trade among countries under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) .
Taking to his official Facebook page to announce his visit to Kenya’s President, William Ruto to officially invite him for his inauguration as Ghana’s president on January 7, Mr. Mahama mentioned that, his visit to Kenya was not only to invite President Ruto but to discuss some issues.
According to Mr. Mahama, his visit to Kenya gave him the opportunity to discuss the two countries regional integration efforts, continental security and how both countries can work collectively to upscale its benefit to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
‘It was a great opportunity to discuss our regional integration efforts, continental security and how we can work collectively to upscale the benefits of the AfCFTA. As a former Chair of the AU high-level committee on Trade, I remain committed to expanding trade among our countries under the aegis of the AfCFTA”.
Mr. Mahama mentioned that, these will help strengthen relationship between both countries
“We shall strengthen relations between Kenya and Ghana”.
