The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has announced April 26, 2025, as the new date for its elective Congress.
The decision was taken during GOC’s Annual Congress which took place on January 25 at Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium Conference Centre in Accra.
The date was initially set for March 15, but was pushed back due to scheduling clashes, including the ANOCA elections as well as the Winter Olympics. It would give incoming leaders a smoother transition, according to GOC president Ben Nunoo Mensah.
The April 26 proposal, introduced by Ghana Athletics President Bawah Fuseini, was seconded by Ghana Rowing and Canoeing President Kamal Sulley and received unanimous approval.
The change allows adequate time to address outstanding issues ahead of the elections.
