
Former Ghana International Kwasi Wusu was laid to rest today in his hometown after the final funeral rites were held in Sunyani.
Kwasi Wusu a three-time Ghana Premier League champion passed away on March 30, 2020, aged 72.
Wusu nicknamed the Powerhouse was buried in a boot-shaped coffin.
According to reports, the idea to bury him in that boot-shaped coffin was suggested by his former colleagues to honour him.
The Football fraternity were present at the burial service to pay their last respect to the former Black Stars striker.
Including some top personalities to bid him farewell were former Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah, Asante Kotoko legends Malik Jabir, ex- Kotoko teammates, Ntow Gyan and many others.
Kofi Wusu scored 36 goals for Ghana between 1969 and 1975.
Though born in Nkoranza in the Bono East, Kwasi Owusu lived the majority of his life in Sunyani is a legend of local club Bofoakwa Tano – a side has coached in the past after scoring uncountable goals for the side during his playing days.
