The Ghana Highway Authority acting on behalf of the Ministry of roads and highway is cautioning the general public and motorists plying the Kasoa-Winneba stretch that the Okyereko Bridge over the Ayensu River in the Gomoa East district of the central Region is currently overtopped by a heavy downpour leading to rising water levels.
According to the press statement, motorists traveling from Accra to Cape-Coast are advised to connect through Akoti-Ojobi- Winneba road.
Also, motorists traveling from Accra to Cape-Coast are to ply through Akoti-Ojobi- Winneba road in the interim.
“We understand the inconvenience this has caused, and assure you that, our engineers and technical team will work diligently to address the situation as quickly as practicable.”
“Your cooperation and patience are greatly cherished as we work towards ensuring your safety and the restoration of normal flow”, the statement said
