Ghanaian goalkeeper, Nana Bonsu, who plies his trade for Nigerian Premier League giants, Enugu Rangers, is optimistic his side will emerge victorious when they face Bendel Insurance in the final of the 2023 Federation Cup on 21 June, 2023.
Both teams emerged victorious from their fiercely contested semi-final encounters, securing their spots in the highly anticipated championship showdown.
Nana Bonsu, who has been in phenomenal form for Enugu Rangers in this season’s FA Cup campaign, led them to narrowly defeat Plateau United in a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the semis.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Happy FM’s Joe Debrah on Wamputu Sports, the former Ghana U-17 goalkeeper admitted difficulty in reaching the finals of the FA Cup but said the team is poised to claim the ultimate.
“We will not go trophyless this season. The necessary preparations are being put in place ahead of this epic final fixture and I know with the help of God, I will lead Enugu Rangers to secure the trophy”.
Enugu Rangers, who are six-time Nigerian FA Cup champions, last won it in 2018.
