Owner of Baseke Holy Stars, Simon Ehomah says he disagrees with people who say Kurt Okraku has failed as president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
GFA president Kurt Okraku following the inability of the Black Stars to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco has been heavily criticized with many calling for his resignation and the sacking of head coach Otto Addo.
Simon Ehomah who is also the Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) dismissed the criticisms saying journalists are the only ones complaining because football people are not.
“We know we will get there; we understand him [Kurt Okraku]. The only people complaining are journalists and not football people,” Ehomah said.
He added that they as football people appreciate the work Kurt Okraku has been doing since taking over as the president of the Ghana Football Association.
“We appreciate what Kurt Okraku is doing. He provides us with footballs, buses, and fuel, and this takes away a lot of our financial burdens. We will endorse the third term for Kurt if we are satisfied with his work,” he added.
