The Executive Council (EXCO) member hopeful for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo says Ghana football has seen golden days but is now a disgrace.
In an interview on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports he said, “Everyone speaks about the Golden days, about the era of Osagyefo and the Republicans where everyone remembers Ghana to be a serious football country but currently, our football is a disgrace”.
According to him, Ghana used to be respected by the entire football community until it became crowded with leaders engaged in bribery and corrupt practices who also put in place poor structures to regulate football in Ghana.
He stated that, it is now the time for people of high repute, strong moral standards, ethics and with no tainted reputation to rebuild the confidence
of football lovers in the GFA.
Mark Addo believes he is a part of the new crop of EXCO members who can help rebuild the game we love as a country and make it profitable when given the nod.
The Nzema Kotoko Chief Executive Officer has gone through the vetting process with his other competitors ahead of the October 27th Elective Congress.
