The Ghana Football Association Executive Council, will on Tuesday 5 November, 2019 elect the vice-president of the Association as mandated by the new statues.
In the new statues approved by Congress, the Ghana Football Association vice-president will be elected by the 12 members on the Executive Council to work with the President Kurt Okraku.
Happyghana.com checks indicate that Tony Aubynn(Medeama), Mark Addo(Nzema Kotoko) and Randy Abbey(Hearts of Lions) are the leading candidates to contest for the position.
Dr Tony Aubynn got elected on to the Executive Council by winning 14 votes out of 16 at the Ghana FA election to win a seat on the Executive Council.
Aubynn, with his experience in the Corporate World is expected to woo a lot of sponsors and investors to the Football Association which makes him favorite for the position.
Mark Addo is also been considered to due to his business portfolio. The Nzema Kotoko financier pulled 25 votes in the election which confirms his popularity among the football circles.
Randy Abbey with his experience in the game is considered as the favorite to win the position.
Randy worked as former Communication Director of the Football Association. He currently runs Kpando Hearts of Lions and his popularity in the game saw him pull majority of votes in the election for the division one representatives on the Executive Council.
