The Vice-Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Alex Ackumey has disclosed to Happy Sports that the body is set to meet the Ghana Football Association over the disbursement of the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund.
The allocation of the monies to some quarters including GHALCA has been met by a strong objection from some club administrators.
Alex Ackumey who sides with the position of the clubs says GHALCA which is the welfare body of the clubs will meet the FA to address the concerns that have been raised by their members.
“We will meet the GFA over the allocation of the money and have some discussions with them. There is too much pressure in the system and we don’t want to create any misunderstanding between the clubs”, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM.
“We are there for the clubs and we will fight for them”, he added.
He also mentioned that GFA can choose to share the money allocated to GHALCA to the clubs as they are the worst hit amid the pandemic.
