The head of the Normalisation Committee (NC), Dr. Kofi Amoah has informed delegates of the elective congress that, FIFA is set to send an anti corruption task force to Ghana in November.
Speaking at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Extraordinary Congress (Elective) covered by Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports crew today, he said: “An anti corruption task force from FIFA, will arrive in Ghana in November to train newly appointed prosecutors for the GFA.”
According to Dr. Amoah, the prosecutors will be charged to investigate and prosecute any case of corruption in the GFA.
He also made known that, the Ghana FA is the first association globally to have the task force.
The task force on its successfully establishment in Ghana, will be implemented in all other football associations globally.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) was the governing body of association football in Ghana from 1957 to 2018.
The association was dissolved on 7 June 2018, amid a corruption scandal.
But the GFA is holding its 25 October, 2019 Extraordinary Congress (Elective) to elect a new President as the Normalisation Committee prepares to handover.
