Communications Director of the Ghana Football Assocaition, Henry Asante Twum has explained Kudus Mohammed’s absence from Black Stars training at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kudus Mohammed who arrived in Ghana together with Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana didn’t report to Black Stars’ first training on Monday, March 17, 2025, ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Speaking on the issue, Henry Asante Twum urged Ghanaians not to panic stating that the West Ham United forward was excused from training by coach Otto Addo.
“We don’t have to worry. Yesterday the coach excused Kudus from training and he will train with the team today, No need to panic,” Henry Asante Twum said on Happy FM.
The Black Stars despite not being able to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations are currently leading their group in the World Cup qualifiers with 9 points after winning three and losing one in the opening four games.
