Former Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) president, Moses Foh-Amoaning says the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should appoint Herve Renard as the next Black Stars coach.
The GFA sacked Charles Kwabla Akonnor and his deputies on Monday following the Black Stars abysmal performances in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The FA has appointed a three-member committee led by the Vice President Mark Addo to select a new coach within 72 hours.
Moses Foh-Amoaning has suggested to the GFA to appoint Herve Renard as CK Akonnor’s replacement.
He believes the two-time AFCON winner can end the country’s AFCON title drought.
“Only the best is good for Ghana. Currently we don’t have best in Ghana. I think the best is Herve Renard for the Black Stars job. He is a wonderful person and has the passion for the country”, he told Ohene Bampoe Brenya on Happy Sports on Happy 98.9FM.
“We must get someone who is competent to fit the bill. He knows the terrain as well.
Our President is a good negotiator and he can just talk to the Saudi sheikh who will even order for the release of the Coach and even pay us”, he added.
