
Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the West African Football Union B (WAFU B) and the Ghana Football Association, attended the official launch of Togo’s National Technical Football Centre in Lomé.
Honoring an invitation from Togolese Football Federation President Guy Kossi Akpovy, Mr. Okraku participated in the one-day event in the neighboring nation.
The ceremony marked the laying of the foundation stone for a modern facility envisioned as a central hub for nurturing football talent and enhancing technical expertise in Togo and the wider West African region.
Addressing attendees, Mr. Okraku lauded the Togolese Football Federation’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to developing football at both grassroots and elite levels. He reiterated WAFU B’s support for initiatives focused on youth investment, infrastructure development, and the long-term advancement of the sport.
The National Technical Centre is anticipated to significantly enhance youth development, coaching standards, and overall training quality in Togo, ultimately contributing to a stronger regional presence in global football.
