The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has made payments of $5,000 each to the 18 Premier League clubs as part of the media rights sponsorship from Chinese pay-tv operator StarTimes, Happy Sports can report.
According to reports, StarTimes made payment of $100,000 to the GFA as part payment of their sponsorship deal for the Ghana Premier League.
Our sources at the GFA indicates that, cheques were issued out to the clubs on Monday and the monies are expected to hit their accounts during the week.
The Premier Leagues were in financial distress due to the coronavirus outbreak which has led to the suspension of the league.
