Eight Regional Football Associations (RFAs) across Ghana have received brand new Nissan Navara pickup trucks from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), thanks to the FIFA Forward program. The support is aimed at boosting grassroots football development by strengthening the administrative and operational capacity of the regional bodies.
The Brong Ahafo, Upper West, Central, Western, Eastern, Upper East, Volta, and Ashanti regions were the latest beneficiaries, each receiving a double-cabin pickup truck.
This is part of the GFA’s broader push to decentralise football development and provide regional associations with the tools they need to work more effectively.
GFA President Kurt Okraku, who handed over the vehicles, emphasised the association’s commitment to empowering regional structures as a key part of their long-term development plan.
The Greater Accra and Northern regions are expected to benefit from the next phase of the rollout.
The official presentation ceremony was attended by members of the GFA Executive Council and the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority, Mr. Abraham Amaliba.
This move is part of the GFA’s ongoing strategy to tap into international support to develop football from the grassroots up.
