GFA Decides: Kurt Okraku wins GFA Presidency with 96.9%

Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has been elected the new President of the Ghana Football Association.

The Dream FC capo won after an overwhelming approval by delegates in the third round of the elections which was held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

Prior to the elections, his contender, George Akwesi Afriyie conceded defeat for him to be crowned the winner.

Mr. Okraku succeeds the longest service GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who had been in the post since 2005.

He will serve an initial four-year term with an additional four-year term if re-elected into office.
