Eastern Regional Football Association chairman, Linford Asamoah has been elected as one of the Regional Football Association chairmen to serve on the Executive Council seat.
The new statues allow only two Regional Football Association chairmen to be elected onto the Council.
Linford Asamoah who won the Eastern Regional Association seat by a land slide, repeated same in the ExCo election as he recorded the highest votes to be elected on to the seat.
He had four votes out of the 10 regional chairmen that contested for the seat, followed by Salifu Zida and Robert Duncan who had 3 votes each.
The vote continues throughout the day with other positions left to be filled on the executive committee.
Linford Asamoah will be sitting on the Executive Council seat for the first time and will serve for the next four years.
