The Palestinian Health Ministry has announced that over 43,000 Palestinians have died in Gaza during the conflict between Israel which began in early October last year.
The conflict, has seen heavy casualties, with 43,020 reported dead and 101,110 injured in Gaza.
According to reports, more than half of these victims comprise women and children.
The health ministry in light of intensifying fights in northern Gaza record ninety six (96) additional casualties which are likely to increase the toll significantly with majority deaths accounted for in the said region.
The World Health Organization also reports that Israeli forces which face Hamas have recently raided the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, detaining 100 suspected Hamas militants and 44 male hospital staff.
The Israeli military claims militants use hospitals for military activities, which Palestinian officials deny. Israel has urged northern Gaza residents to evacuate amid a prolonged offensive in the area, where humanitarian aid has sharply decreased.
