GACL denies claims of selling lost bags for charity at Kotoka International Airport

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has dismissed rumors suggesting that it is selling “lost or forgotten bags” at the Kotoka International Airport to support a charity event.

Management has addressed a post circulating on social media, particularly Facebook, which falsely claims that GACL is selling these bags for charitable purposes.

In a statement released on October 23, GACL management clarified that the information is entirely untrue and designed to mislead and defraud the public. GACL said it has verified the social media channels from which this misinformation originated and confirmed that it has never delegated such responsibilities to any third party.

GACL emphasized its strong disassociation from the post and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the interests of travelers.
