The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has apologized to passengers who were affected by an operational issue at Terminal 2 of the Kotoka International Airport on Monday, April 7, 2025.
A statement issued by the management of GACL, said the incident involved passengers on Passion Air flight 143 from Kumasi, who were temporarily unable to access the domestic arrival hall due to a locked door at the main arrival gate.
GACL stated that the cause of the disruption is under investigation, and appropriate measures, including possible disciplinary actions, will be taken to prevent a recurrence.
The company reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and customer service across all its terminals. Although the disruption was brief, it sparked public concern about airport operations and overall passenger experience.
