Prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) member Gabby Otchere-Darko has issued a challenge to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to produce evidence of a single corruption case involving President Akufo-Addo, his family, or appointees that rivals the severity of the Airbus scandal and its substantial investigative findings.
Otchere-Darko on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) condemned the NDC and Mahama for making baseless accusations against the Akufo-Addo government and the NPP, emphasizing the need for concrete evidence to support their claims.
Following the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s decision to clear the former President of wrongdoing in the Airbus case, Gabby Otchere-Darko issued a further challenge to the NDC and John Mahama. He dared them to compare the gravity of the Airbus scandal to any of the corruption allegations they have made against the NPP, implying that their accusations pale in comparison to the seriousness of the Airbus case.
He accused the NDC and John Mahama of clinging to a fictional book, “Agyapadie”, as their sole basis for claiming that the current economic hardships in Ghana surpass those experienced during Mahama’s tenure. He implied that their argument is built on imagination rather than facts.
