Renowned Human Rights activist, Francis Xavier Sosu has crossed the first hurdle in his vow to wrestle power from the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament in the 2020 elections by clinching a resounding victory in the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
delegates Congress Saturday, August 24.
Sosu polled 663 votes, with Sidii Abubakar Musah polling 480 votes Alhaji Ibrahim Faila and Hajia Rukaya Abubakar Alhassan polling 219 and 16 votes respectively.
Sosu who lost to Amadu Sorogo in his first attempt in the NDC’s 2015 primaries in the Madina Constituency looks poised to wrestle the seat for the opposition as media reports claim he had said.
