Ghana’s former president, John Dramani Mahama, joined other dignitaries at the memorial mass for the late Ivorian President, Henri Konan Bedie, in a show of respect and solidarity.In a Facebook post on Saturday, May 25, former President John Dramani Mahama reflected on the honor of paying his final respects to the late Ivorian President Henri Konan Bedie, saying it was a privilege to bid farewell to a statesman and a friend.Mahama also extended his condolences to the family of the late President Bedie, saying that they were in his thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”I had the honour of attending a memorial mass for the late Ivorian President Henri Konan Bedie. It was a privilege to pay my last respects, in the company of President Alhassane Ouattara, to a leader who played a significant role in the history of Cote d’Ivoire. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, President Bedie,” he stated.
