Former Madina MP opens up on ambulance reclamation

Former Member of Parliament for Madina, Alhaji Amadu Bukari Sorogho has cleared the air on allegations levelled against him by some aggrieved members of his constituency for reclaiming an ambulance he donated to the Madina Municipal Health Directorate after he lost in the 2016 elections.

Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, he made known that, he did not reclaim the ambulance because he lost in the election but because it had been left to the mercy of the weather and was in a deplorable state.

He said, “I couldn’t look on unconcerned for an ambulance I spent thousands of dollars of my own money on get destroyed. I only took the ambulance back to protect it from further damage as it was not being used for the intended purpose”.

He also refuted claims that, the ambulance was registered to him. He revealed that, he prepared the necessary documents and had transferred the ambulance to the LA Nkwntanang Municipal Health Directorate.
