
The Ghana National Fire Service has apologized for comments made by a member of its Public Relations team, ADOI Alex King Nartey, regarding a recent fire outbreak in the Adum area of Kumasi.
In an official statement, the Fire Service expressed deep regret to the Regional Minister and Chair of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), Dr. Frank Amoakohene for any remarks that may have been deemed disrespectful.
The statement acknowledged the Minister’s critical role in managing the fire incident and commended his dedication and efforts in coordinating the response.
The service assured the public that measures would be taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future, including appropriate disciplinary action against the officer involved.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting fire prevention efforts in the Ashanti Region and maintaining cooperation with regional authorities.
