An unexplained fire has ravaged more than 100 shops at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, according to reports circulating on social media.

A viral video shows a row of shops reduced to ashes, with traders and stall owners wailing over the destruction of their primary source of income.

This devastating fire follows closely on the heels of a blaze at the University of Ghana’s Commonwealth Hall, which occurred on Wednesday, June 4, 2024.

This marks the second significant fire incident within the first week of June, plunging traders into a state of despair. The first incident, which occurred on June 3, 2015, continues to resonate deeply with the commercial area.
