Ghanaian rapper Medikal has promised to give out GHc10, 000 to 10 of his fans if Ghana wins its match against Benin this evening in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
In a tweet, he wrote: “If Ghana wins today, I’m splitting GHc10,000 amongst 10 die-hard fans of mine, payment will be made through mobile money!”
Medikal has in recent times been in the news for engaging in a lyrical war with former SarkCess Music signee Strongman.
He won the Best Rapper of the Year Award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held on May 18, 2019.
The match between the Black Stars and The Squirrels is one of the most anticipated in the AFCON, especially for Ghanaians.
Ghana’s ambition of winning this tournament is heightened as Ghana has not won the continental title since 1982.
