Ghanaian International and Enyimba FC goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, has wished the Black Stars of Ghana well ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Fatau, who was eyeing for a call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana after his three-year absence, took to his Twitter page to wish the team luck going into the competition which is slated for 21 June to 19 July.
According to reports, the Black Stars list making rounds did not include the 34-year-old who initially thought his fine form in the Nigerian premier league could earn him a return to the National side.
Dauda was part of the Ghana national team squad during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. He was the first choice keeper for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. He was also a member of the Ghana squad that represented at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Dauda has capped 25 times for the Black Stars .
