The latest Guinness World Records candidate, for longest cooking marathon individual, Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, has labelled her attempt as a national assignment.

Chef Failatu crossed the 24 hour mark on Monday, Janaury 1, 2024 and is scheduled to cook till Friday with an aim of attaining 120 hours of cooking.

In post-attempt video circulating online. Chef Failatu, described the GWR-endorsed record attempt as a nationwide assignment which must be undertaken with support from Ghanaians.

She believes that the attempt goes beyond a personal achievement, but rather a culminated effort to bring Ghana as a whole into the spotlight. “This is a nationwide assignment and I pray that this attempt of mine brings the nation Ghana into the global picture; If I miss this believe me I have put our President to shame; I have put the people who groomed me to shame and the people who have supported in my lowest to shame.”

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak is currently making advancements towards completion of the third day with a massive array of support from Ghanaians at the Modern City Hotel, Tamale, Ghana.
