Former Ghana striker, Augustine Arhinful wants a detailed clarification about the role of former captain Stephen Appiah on the newly constituted Black Stars management Committee.
Stephen Appiah on Saturday, January 18, 2025, was named as the Vice Chairman of the newly constituted Black Stars management Committee which will be headed by Dr. Randy Abbey.
The GFA communique stated that Stephen Appiah will be in charge of player relations but Augustine Arhinful has asked for a more detailed explanation because the day to day contacting of the players is the job of the coach.
“I think the GFA must explain further what they mean by player relations because the best relations are established when the coach interacts with the players daily to understand how they are doing.”
“I believe they have noticed something within the team, so they need someone like Stephen Appiah to come on board and interact with the players in a brotherly way to align them with the GFA’s expectations,” Arhinful said.
