EXCLUSIVE: Kwesi Appiah To Name New Black Stars Captain After Congo Clash

Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah will appoint a new captain for the team after Ghana’s game against Congo in Brazzaville on Tuesday, according to sources close to the gaffer.
According to the grepevine source, Kwesi Appiah is getting fed up with the brewing politics in the team and he is looking at getting a new skipper for the side.
Asamoah Gyan is currently the captain of the side with Andre Ayew as his deputy but the source claims the three players being penciled for the role are John Boye, Thomas Partey and Christian Atsu.
The Black Stars failed to beat Congo in Kumasi last Friday in a 1-1 draw a day after Uganda had beaten Egypt 1-0 but are keen on grabbing a favourable result in Congo to appease for the battered egos of the players.
