Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks, is set to lose seven of its key players following the expiration of their contract, Happy Sports can confirm.
The seven players are still in camp with reports indicating that there is no sign from management yet to engage them on contract extension talks.
The players, Benjamin Tweneboah, Benjamin Arthur, Issaka Mohammed, Augustine Owusu, Richard Mpong, Samuel Arthur and Suraji Ibrahim are free to join any club when the second transfer window opens.
Happy Sports understand that some of the players are willing to commit their future with the team should management open contract extension talks.
There have also been reports of unpaid bonuses and wages for several months now.
Elmina Sharks despite their financial woes are currently placed 10th on the league log with 14 points after matchday 10 in the ongoing season.
Sharks play as host to Dreams FC on matchday 11 at the Nduom Sports Stadium on Sunday.
