Ex-FIFA referee Charles Dowuona tips Alex Kotey for GFA Referees Manager position

Former FIFA referee, Charles Dowuona has tipped retired referee Alex Kotey for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Referees Manager position.

The GFA opened up for people to apply for the Referees Managers position.

Happy Sports understands that referee Alex Kotey, Richard Thomas Attifu and CM Astatsa have applied for the position.

Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports on the best candidate to be appointed Referees Manager for the GFA, Charles Dowuona said, “I know all the capabilities of the three people who have applied for the job. The best person for the job is Alex Kotey”.

He added: “The Referees Managers position is very important in every Football Association. When I saw the advertisement I was very happy that finally the FA would have a referees manager”.

“The person must be a team player and leader. He must not be biased, intelligent and must be able to take good decisions for the referees. He must pass the through the mill and also be a good teacher”.

“I know all the capabilities of the three people who have applied for the job. The best person for the job is Alex Kotey”, he added.
