According to President Akufo-Addo, empowering women and youth extends beyond a moral imperative for social justice. It is also a critical driver of economic expansion and a key determinant of societal robustness.
Addressing the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the launch of the Arab-Africa financial consortium in Accra on Sunday, President Akufo-Addo emphasized the persistent challenges of gender disparity and high youth unemployment plaguing many nations.
He urged bold and decisive measures to tackle these issues, including promoting gender equality, supporting women-owned businesses, and creating opportunities for young people to access meaningful employment and self-employment.
By taking these steps, President Akufo-Addo stressed that we can unlock the potential of women and youth, leading to more resilient, prosperous, and thriving societies.
