Disqualified presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Philip Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, has dismissed claims that the GFP has endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
At a media briefing on Wednesday, December 4, an individual identifying as the Deputy General Secretary of GFP, Jerry Addo announced that the party had resolved to support the NDC following extensive discussions with its executives.
However, in an interview, Philip Appiah Kubi denied these assertions, stating that GFP has not made any decision regarding which party to support.
He expressed concern over the matter, explaining that he is unfamiliar with the individuals who held the press conference and that the party’s executives are equally unaware of them. He emphasized that GFP has not officially endorsed any political party.
“We have not endorsed any political party. Not that we have issues with either NDC or NPP, but as the leader of Ghana Freedom Party currently, with my general secretary, my four Parliamentary Candidates and the other executive members, we have not endorsed any political party”, he said.
