Intense confrontation erupted in the Ablekuma West Constituency when voters vehemently rejected a pickup truck carrying food packs.
The driver of the truck was met with hostile hooting and was promptly escorted off the premises by voters.
According to the occupants of the vehicle, the food was allegedly donated by Ursula Owusu, the incumbent MP.
“We just brought food for our polling agents and EC officials, but we are being asked to take the vehicle out. The food is from Ursula Owusu. This shouldn’t create a problem because it’s not for voters” one lady in the truck said.
Police officers at the scene have however stepped in to restore calm and ensure that voting proceeds without further disruptions.
