Central Regional Chairman of the National Peace Council, Right Reverend Richardson Aboagye Abram has revealed that, the council has identified nine (9) electoral hotspots in the region.
According to him, out of the 23 constituencies in the region, only nine (9) have been identified for potential unrest during the elections.
He mentioned that, the hotspots include; Awutu- Senya- East, Effutu, Agona – West, Assin- North, Abura- Asebu- Kwamankese, Cape Coast- North, Twifo- Hemang- Lower- Denkyira- West and East.
He added that, the council has also identified 42 flashpoints in the Awutu Senya – East constituency which he stated stands out as the most critical in the region.
Rev. Aboagye Andam has however appealed to Ghanaians to be tolerant and foster social cohesion as the country heads to the polls on Saturday.
He stated this at a symposium held at the University of Cape- Coast by Ghana First Youth.
