Election 2024: GJA sets up collation center to project provisional results from across the nation
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has established the GJA-KGL National Media Collation Centre to project provisional election results from constituencies nationwide.
This initiative, funded by the KGL Foundation, was described by GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour as a groundbreaking move that ensures all Ghanaians stay informed about the ongoing general elections.
Mr. Dwumfour revealed that the GJA has deployed 271 volunteers across constituencies to monitor the electoral process and report on the events as Ghanaians cast their ballots.
These representatives are tasked with providing detailed updates on incidents and developments during the polls.
Additionally, the GJA has set up a “strong room” where data approved by Electoral Officers at constituency collation centers will be transmitted. The GJA’s collation center will then project provisional results as approved and announced by Electoral Officers.
