Election 2024: Former La Dade Kotopon MP goes independent

Former Member of Parliament for the La Dade Kotopon Constituency, Vincent Sowah Odotei affectionately known as Obama has announced his decision to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming election. The former Deputy Minister of Communication, who served the La Dade Kotopon Constituency from 2017 to 2020 under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) banner, cited unfinished business in the constituency as his motivation for seeking re-election.

Mr. Odotei reaffirmed his intention to contest the seat, stating that he would unveil his comprehensive vision for the La Dade Kotopon Constituency in the forthcoming days.

He explained that his motivation for seeking re-election was two fold, to complete the outstanding developmental projects he initiated during his first term as MP and to continue advocating for the interests of the La people in the ninth Parliament.
