The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on all political parties to accept the results of the December elections, emphasizing the importance of peace and unity.
Speaking at the signing of the 4th Presidential Election Peace Pact at Kempinski Hotel, Accra on Thursday, November 28, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa reassured Ghanaians that robust measures have been put in place to ensure the elections are peaceful, free, fair, and transparent.
She encouraged confidence in the electoral process, underscoring the need for a stable and harmonious environment during the polls. She reiterated the Commission’s dedication to fostering peace and trust throughout the electoral process leading to the 2024 general elections.
Jean Mensa highlighted the EC’s deliberate commitment to transparency, fairness, and accountability, she expressed confidence in its ability to conduct violence-free elections. She emphasized that these efforts are vital for building public trust and ensuring a credible electoral outcome.
