At the Golden Corn Church No. 1A polling station in the Odododiodio constituency, officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) faced significant challenges as they were unable to set up for the 2024 elections due to the unavailability of tables and chairs.

As of 6:14 a.m, the stranded officials expressed their frustrations, citing an unexpected development with their planned logistics arrangements. According to an official who spoke to happyghana.com, the team had arranged to rent tables and chairs from a local supplier. However, on the morning of the elections, the supplier abruptly refused to honor the agreement.

The situation has caused delays in setting up the polling station, raising concerns among early voters who arrived to find the station non-operational.

Efforts are reportedly underway to secure alternative materials to enable the smooth conduct of the voting process.
