The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Klottey Korle constituency Prince Appiah Debrah says he has observed that the constituency is struggling because the incumbent Member of Parliament, Zanetor Rawlings cannot relate with problems of the constituents.

According to him, infrastructure-wise, everything may seem good in the constituency but when it comes to human development issues, there is a serious problem.

In an interview with Sefa Danquah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, he said: “We have serious problems when it comes to human development problems. Study shows that the unemployment rate at the Klottey Korle constituency is twenty percent (20%) but in Ghana, it is only twelve percent (12%) in Ghana.

The shape of our public schools is in a very bad state.

In Klottey Korle, it is either you are rich or poor. There is no middle ground. People are moving out of the constituency because you can’t rent if you don’t have money. When it rains, we have a serious flooding problem. And part of the problem is the sanitation problem”.

Speaking on why these problems exist, he notes, “She [Zanetor Rawlings] was a spectator. She came to accompany us. She is clueless. She should campaign on her record. I am not an MP but I have done more that has affected the people. We say all politics is local. But it is worrying if you find yourself in parliament and can’t relate to the things that affect the people in Klottey Korley”.

He was confident that when he is elected as the MP for the constituency, he will see to it that things improve in the constituency.

Prince Appiah Debrah will be contesting the incumbent Member of Parliament Zanetor Rawlings for the Klottey Korley seat come December 2020.
