Egyptian side Misr El-Makasa have now slapped a price tag of $2 million for any club that is interested in the services of John Antwi.
Antwi, who joined the Fayoum-based side from Al Ahly in 2016, has been impressive for the club in the ongoing campaign after scoring 6 goals in 13 games to help the side to 3rd on the standings.
The 26-year-old’s sleek form for the Green and Blue lads has attracted interests from several clubs in Egypt and reports suggest that Zamalek are leading the chase for the Ghanaian poacher after enquiring about his availability.
However, a deal to the White Knights could hit a snag following reports that a clause was inserted in the Ghanaian contract to prevent him joining any other Egyptian club when he was moving from Al Ahly.
Further reports in the North African country indicate that clubs from Europe have entered the race to sign the former Dreams FC hitman.
According to reports, the club officials have decided to release the Ghanaian for $2 million during the winter transfer window.
Antwi became the top foreign goalscorer in Egyptian football with 63 goals after bagging a sensational hat-trick against Enppi a fortnight ago.
