Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sissi has urged Syrians to come together in unity.
In his first public remarks since the fall of Bashar Assad, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sissi emphasized the significance of Syria’s future.
He gave these remarks during a meeting with local media representatives.
“The decision-makers are people of the country, and they will either demolish or build it,” he said.
El-Sissi also revealed that he had been in contact with the incoming U.S. administration under President-elect Donald Trump, aiming to find solutions for the Middle East, including Gaza, Syria, and Sudan.
Last week, the Syrian government collapsed following a swift rebel offensive that took control of Damascus, signaling the end of the Assad family’s 50-year rule.
