The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has begun the preparation of its control engineers and system operators to be fully equipped to handle all emergencies during and after the December polls.

Speaking at the 3- day capacity building program, the PRO of Ashanti Sub-Transmission, Collins Manu stated that,”The training is an integral part of our dual-layered strategy to ensure supply continuity: system readiness through preventive maintenance and manpower readiness via training and capacity building,”

One of the facilitators for the capability building program, Ing Peter Fletcher said “With this training and preparations underway, ECG assures the general public that, as a stakeholder in the socioeconomic development of Ghana, it is committed to providing quality, safe, and reliable electricity. It stands ready to ensure supply reliability to meet all energy needs,”.

The 3- day in-house capacity-building program was organized by the Ashanti Sub-Transmission Region of ECG at the Boadi Regional Office in Kumasi.
