EC to release Revised Provisional Voters Register in two weeks, refutes NDC timeline claims

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will release the revised Provisional Voters Register in two weeks.

In a statement signed by Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey on Tuesday, October 8, the EC addressed a claim made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The NDC had stated that the EC had promised to provide political parties with the revised provisional voters register within a week following an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.

However, the EC clarified that during the televised IPAC meeting, its Chairperson indicated that the revised Provisional Voters Register (PVR) would be made available and uploaded online within two weeks or sooner not within one week, as the NDC suggested.
The EC emphasized that this timeline was clearly communicated during the meeting.

To further clarify the matter, the EC said it would release the unedited video of the Chairperson’s closing remarks from the meeting.
