The Electoral Commission (EC) has responded to the petition submitted by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following their recent demonstration over alleged electoral irregularities.
In a brief statement signed by the deputy Chairman Operations, Samuel Tettey, the EC acknowledged the concerns raised by the NDC and assured the public that the petition would be reviewed thoroughly and provide a response in the coming days.
The Commission also assured the general public that the process of producing the final register was in its early stages.
“The Commission is mindful that the Voters Register is the bedrock of credible, fair and transparent elections. We assure the NDC and all Stakeholders of our avowed commitment to delivering a credible and robust Final Register ahead of the December 2024 Elections” parts of the statement read.
