The Electoral Commission (EC) has detailed the disruptions that affected the collation of results in nine constituencies following the 2024 general elections.

The affected constituencies include Fanteakwa North, Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Techiman South, Ablekuma North, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Dome-Kwabenya, Ahafo Ano North, Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano South West, Akwatia, and Suhum.

According to the EC, these disruptions, primarily caused by political party activities, temporarily halted the collation process. Returning officers in some areas were reportedly pressured by political parties to declare candidates as winners under duress, faced life-threatening situations, and encountered issues involving ballot papers or pink sheets.

In a detailed statement, the EC outlined the specific incidents in each constituency and reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the challenges while upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
