Dzorwulu residents cry out for help as roads deteriorate

The residents of Dzorwulu in the Ayawaso West Municipal District of the Greater Accra Region are at their wit’s end due to the deplorable condition of the Botwe-Dzorwulu road, which has become a hazard to motorists and pedestrians alike.

The road’s surface is severely damaged, characterized by numerous large potholes and extensive tar loss, rendering it nearly impassable. This has resulted in a surge of accidents and immense inconvenience for road users, who are now demanding urgent attention from the authorities to rectify the situation.

The situation is further exacerbated by the roads becoming waterlogged with muddy water, making it even more challenging for commuters to navigate. For over five years, residents have been lamenting the authorities’ neglect of the road’s maintenance, which has led to its current deplorable state.

They lamented a contractor was hired to repair the road but only managed to complete a subpar asphalting job before abandoning the project altogether, leaving the residents feeling frustrated and disillusioned with the lack of effective action.
